Prop:Isaiah talks about Jesus arrival. Paul says" Be happy at all times..Gospel(Jn1:6-8,19-28)says"..I am not fit to undo his sandal-strap.."Reminds importance of Gospel than old testament. Jesus gave us protective shoe of Happiness(Gospels). New message of Love,introduced to humanity by Jesus&Mary,for your Happy life,reducing fear/sorrow.

Best way to reflect new testament is thru' sunday Mass readings and reciting Rosary. To be effective,reflection to be done early morning with Peaceful mind(without anger/judging others/laziness), without watching/reading news.
